The Front Page 6 widget area in the Demo 2 theme uses (1) Text widgets and (4) Featured Page widget to display its content.
Text Widget
To configure the widget, click on the title bar to open it, and change the settings as described below:
- Title: Enter the content you wish to display in this area.
- Click Save to preserve your settings.
Featured Page Widget
To configure the widgets, click on the title bar to open them, and change the settings as described below:
The demo is using identical settings for each of the eight (4) Genesis – Featured Page widgets.
The settings that have been configured in the theme demo are as follows:
- Title: The demo does not use the title.
- Page: Select which page you’d like to feature.
- Show Featured Image: Check the box to enable the featured image.
- Image Size: Select the desired image size for your featured image. The demo is set to team member (600×600).
- Image Alignment: Select the image alignment (None, Left, Right or Center) in relation to the page content, if displayed. The demo is set to None.
- Show Page Title: Check the box to display the page title. When enabled, the page title (the team member’s name) will appear when you hover over the image. See below for more information.
Team Member Name & Title Overlay
When you hover over the images in the Front Page 6 widget area of the demo, you’ll see the team member names and titles (or positions in the company), as shown in the image below.
Note: The team member name and title overlay feature is specific to Front Page 6 and will only work in this widget area.
- Team Member Name: This is title of the page being featured in the widget. In this example, the page title, and team member’s name, is Tino Morrison.
- Team Member Title (or Position): This is added by entering a custom field on the page that’s being featured in the widget. In this example, the team member’s title (or position) is President. Learn how to add the team member’s title.
